In this editorial the author describes "the epochal shift in the voting behavior of women who, for the first time since enfranchisement, voted in greater numbers, and more progressively, than men." Through this 2008 election women voted by a 13 percent margin in Barrack Obama's favor. This impacted the election greatly. Hilary Clinton's campain impacted america greatly also with having a woman even run for president. Back then neither woman, Afican Americans, or young people were allowed to vote, running for president being out of the question, but this election and Barrack Obama's presidency has opened the doors historically and revolutionary.
